About Zach
I’m an experienced young teacher who taught Mandarin speakers in China for half a decade. Therefore I have a lot of methodological understanding of teaching non-native speakers to speak fluent English.
I’m also a literature graduate and have a voluminous knowledge of the classics of the Western canon, as well as many of the landmark modern and post-modern texts.
I once wanted the answers to the questions my students now ask me, so I know how to make lessons enjoyable as well as edifying.

My one-to-one lessons will help you unpack a range of daunting aspects of English in an engaging and interactive way, be that grammar, phonemic pronunciation or long subject-specific terms you need to learn for work, I can help. I have 5 years of ESL (English as a Second Language) teaching experience, so I’m well aware of the challenges you face.
I’ll give you useful advice that you can apply in university exams, job applications and immigration paperwork. Whatever your level, you’ll leave my lessons a lot better equipped than when you started!
