About Fateen
I am 17 years old this year and starting Poly in April. I've always loved writing stories and poems, which led me to fall in love with the English Language. I wish to study Film and to create media that people can connect with!
My Qualifications:
PSLE: EL AL1
O Levels: EL A1, ELIT A1
Awards: ELL Scholarship (2024). Queen's Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition (GOLD x2).
Experiences: Overseas Immersion Programme (Surabaya, 2024, with ELL Scholarship). VJC Humanities Symposium. Writing Workshops (held by known local writers). Emcee for school events.
I've helped many of my juniors in both EL & Elit :) I'm friendly, relatable and patient. I can speak Malay proficiently, too.
I also have experience teaching English to my brother with ASD. I would love to work with SPED students who struggle with English!

I bring a new & fun perspective to English by introducing study techniques based on the student's interests. I will teach the basics (grammar; spelling; vocabulary; reading; speaking) as well as the advanced (creative & argumentative writing; analysis of texts; presenting). Aside from academic skills, I will include wider resources such that not only is the student equipped with the necessary knowledge to score well, but they will also be educated with global readiness. Subjects like current affairs, philosophy, media & history are extremely integral to understanding as well as appreciating the English Language!
As a result, the student can gain a firm foundation of English while being exposed to how language and the humanities have shaped our society!
If you "dislike" learning English or have difficulty playing with words, I am the right tutor for you!

I understand that not everyone can afford tuition (I come from a working-class family and have never received tuition), so my pricing can definitely be lowered depending on your needs. No extra costs for the materials I provide/SPED kids :)
