About Sophie
I am an English Literature graduate with a background in teaching. I've volunteered in classrooms and have also taught young kids sport. I want to empower my students to believe in their work and bring my knowledge from the past 4 years in university to help in any way I can.
I also write blog posts in my spare time so I can tailor my classes to more informal writing if that is what you are looking for.

I like to understand what the student wants from my lessons, for example what they find challenging or what they want to improve on. Once this information has been attained I will break down my lessons into working from the ground up so the student understands how the work will help not only improve their current work but their way of learning as a whole.

Perfect! Sophie was extremely well organised, knew the topics inside out, was able to direct my daughter exactly to what she needed to be working on, and had all the relevant material prepared for each lesson.
She was also really friendly and engaging, and my daughter enjoyed all the lessons and walked away far more confident about what she had to do.
We really can't praise her enough.
