I have been a tutor for just over two years now, specialising in GCSE and A Level English Literature and Language. I have also taught 1:1 in a Primary school setting, working with ESL (English Second Language) and SEN (Special Educational Needs) students.

My teaching method focuses on positive reinforcement, engagement and interactive learning. As opposed to copying from a textbook or learning a set of given responses, I focus on developing subject confidence and learning through frequent practice. I think that tutoring should be a fun and engaging experience, and focus upon individual needs rather than what best fits a large class. Learning is an individual experience and therefore tutoring should be too!
