About Jaime
I'm a Junior in college who is majoring in English. I spent last semester as a Writing Center intern, where I gained a sense of fulfillment as I watched the people I tutored become more confident in their papers and their writing. I would like to continue that work and help more students grow as writers, develop a writing voice, and become more assured in their skills.

I worked as a Writing Center tutor during my last semester. During that time, I was taught how to give feedback without discouraging students, how to respect their paper and vision while still being helpful, and how to build a student's confidence in their writing. A typical tutoring session with me would begin with a short introduction to break the ice, a discussion about your assignment, and then we'll go from there. If you haven't started, we can brainstorm topics. If you're finished but want some polishing, I can read your paper over and offer feedback. I'm flexible and am ready to help however I can. I specialize in building the confidence of students and helping them with useful tactics for future papers so that they can become independent writers. I love seeing people flourish and come into their own as a writer, whether it be for personal or academic purposes. My goal is to help people create something they can be proud of, whether they submit it or not. I have experience tutoring college students (including graduate students), but I can work with people from 6th to 12th grade as well.
