About Layla
I am an English tutor with over 3 years of experience helping young learners build strong reading foundations. I hold a Bachelor of Science in English Language and Professional Writing, which deepened my interest in language, storytelling, and early literacy development. I truly enjoy introducing children to the magical world of books. Stories help children explore new ideas and grow their imagination.
My lessons are designed for emergent readers and early elementary students. I help children improve reading comprehension while building phonological awareness and word recognition. My English teaching approach focuses on helping students communicate confidently in everyday social situations. I believe learning English should feel natural, fun, and meaningful. Lessons include topics like dating and relationships, expressing feelings, and understanding social cues in conversations. These are the kinds of conversations people often have in real life.
Students practice how to start conversations and keep them flowing. We also explore how to talk about emotions and navigate romantic conversations with confidence. I use role-plays, playful games, and storytelling to make learning engaging. Activities help students remember vocabulary and expressions easily.
My lessons create a friendly and relaxed space where learners feel comfortable speaking. I especially enjoy supporting people who are adapting to a new country and want to connect with others in English. I also work with learners who study English as a hobby and enjoy practicing conversation. Every session encourages laughter, curiosity, and real communication. Students gain confidence while learning useful phrases for everyday life. Over time, conversations become smoother and more natural. English becomes a joyful tool for building real connections.
