About Ekene
I’ve spent years working with language as a teacher, a writer, and an editor. I bring that experience directly into my sessions. I studied English in college, taught the subject abroad, and now edit work for my own literary platform, Yarn Press. More importantly, I genuinely care about helping students feel capable, supported, and confident. I teach with patience, structure, and clear explanations, because I know how transformative good writing skills can be. My students get someone who’s both deeply knowledgeable and fully invested in their growth.

I teach writing the way it’s meant to be learned—through curiosity, clarity, and genuine self-expression. With a background in literature, copywriting, and editing, I help students unlock their voice while strengthening the fundamentals.
My lessons are equal parts skill-building and discovery: we explore ideas, shape arguments, refine language, and turn confusion into confidence. Students leave not just with better grades, but with a stronger relationship to their own thinking.
