About Stephanie
I am currently attending the University of Nevada - Las Vegas to complete the requirements for a Master of Science (MS) degree in Public Health. I completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical Science at Northern Arizona University.
I completed advanced English level courses and Spanish placement courses as needed to improve fluency in English and Spanish. These two languages are important to me so that I can communicate to family and friends. Fluency is also important when I work in the medical field as it allows me to provide translation for health professionals and patients.
Whatever your goal may be, as long as there is a strong will to learn and you are able to be patient with yourself, then learning a language will not be as difficult.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to learning English. Some individuals require more assistance, while others just like assistance as needed.
The best way to learn English, is by listening to the language.
Some individuals are learning English for career development, for a degree requirement, or personal reasons. Based on the goals each individual has, I do my best to apply the appropriate teaching methods and techniques to help.
Although the goal is to learn English, the lessons are tailored for each student. Some students may prefer to read or write to help them learn, while others may prefer to listen and practice speaking first. There needs to be a balance between the fun ,and not-so-fun, components of the English language.
