About Krea
I am an English student at Southern New Hampshire University. I have a 3.7 GPA, as well as a writing portfolio available upon request. I have been writing since I was child; my first poem was published when I was just twelve! In my spare time, I write science fiction.

As a tutor, I believe in nurturing each student's unique voice while building a solid foundation in writing skills.
Teaching Method and Techniques:
I use a student-centered approach, where I encourage students to actively engage in their own learning process. I guide them to express their thoughts clearly while maintaining an emphasis on critical thinking and creativity. I focus on:
1. Socratic questioning to stimulate deeper thinking about topics.
2. Breakdown of the writing process into manageable steps: brainstorming, free writing, outlining, drafting, revising, editing, and proofreading.
3. Developing their style while also learning how to give, receive, and parse through criticism.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-up: I start with a discussion or quick-write activity that taps into student's interests or recent events.
Mini-lesson: I introduce a specific writing concept, such as thesis development or narrative techniques. This includes examples and discussion.
Writing Workshop: Students apply the lesson by working on their own writing. I provide individualized feedback during this time, addressing their specific challenges.
Reflection and Sharing: We end with discussing the day’s lesson to solidify learning and encourage confidence.
What Sets Me Apart:
I’m known for my enthusiasm and empathy—I aim to make writing fun and empowering! My background in literary criticism and experience in creative writing allows me to blend academic rigor with imagination, making my lessons dynamic and engaging.
Who the Lessons Are For:
These lessons are for middle through high school students, ranging from beginner writers to advanced students who are preparing for AP English exams or working on college application essays.
