About Lily
I am a fully qualified English literature and language teacher - based in Hull - and have taught students aged 11-18. The class sizes I have experience with range from 1:1 support up to large groups of 30. I have ample experience with the varying needs of students; incorporating techniques to enable those with English as a 2nd language and special needs be equipped to succeed alongside high ability gifted and talent students.

My teaching method is a student centered approach. I believe in getting to the know the student before teaching begins and this allows me to equipped them with the tools to succeed. Teaching from me provides them with problem solving methods they can carry with them for life and apply to a magnitude of different subjects. My lessons always acknowledge varying learning styles along constructivist approaches that allow students to come to conclusions on their own accord. These methods allow for longevity.
