I obtained my bachelor's degree in English and then a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on adolescent literacy. I've also taught for 8 years at three different levels, taught creative writing, and attend multiple professional development seminars each year.

I enjoy teaching and discussing literature with my students and helping them improve their critical thinking and writing skills. I enjoy one-on-one tutoring and utilizing my students interests in the material I choose and giving students choice in how they demonstrate their learning.
