About Christine
Hello! I'm Christine, a Canadian finance professional with a deep appreciation for the English language. I hold a TEFL certificate to teach English as a second language. I obtained this certificate because I loved teaching my international clients financial literacy and helped them navigate any difficulties that arose upon moving to an English speaking country. I've done a lot of travelling in Latin America and have a good understanding of the Spanish language as well. My family immigrated to Canada from Portugal and had to adjust to living in a new country and speaking a new language, so I've had a lot of first-hand experience with the struggles of immigration. I myself have also lived in Latin America and studied Spanish as a second language and understand the challenges of learning a new language.

Mostly conversation based, like the real world, and fun! This will prepare you for regular life scenarios as well as professional, or any goal for speaking you may have. In the first lesson we will define your English level and learning goals so your classes can be tailed to you. I've worked with students from high-beginner levels all the way up to advanced students wanting to perfect their pronunciation and grammar skills. Each class has activities tailored to your goals and interests, as well as a conversation period where we can review the topics and have fun.
