About Farhana
My qualifications include a BA in English & Linguistics and an MA in Linguistics & ELT. As a current EFL teacher at a language college with 8 years of teaching experience, I have the enthusiasm and skills to teach all levels of students. My wealth of experience has proved worthwhile where I am flexible and have taken on the responsibility to teach students ranging from elementary to proficiency as well as EAP. I have also experience in proofreading PHD essays.

I usually start the lesson with a warmer before introducing vocabulary. I ensure student's are comfortable with the pronunciation by introducing/using the phonemic chart. Based on the level, I introduce a grammar point by explanation, examples and give worksheets for practice. To review the lesson, I ask questions where students use the vocabulary and grammar learnt in speaking practice. By using strategies involving delayed error-correction and raising student self-confidence, many have been able to improve and pass their exams for PET, CAE, TOEIC and IELTS.
