About Srinjana
Meet Srinjana Roy: a total bookworm and word-lover! Currently conquering a B.Ed. at Loreto College, Kolkata, she's already aced her English Literature postgrad studies at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata (Fr. Huart Scholarship winner!). With a distinction-packed Bachelor’s from St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata (and a merit certificate for being awesome!), she snagged first class in English Honors in 2022. Even back in senior secondary, she was a Humanities superstar (96.8% and a Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Scholarship for 5th in the region!). Basically, she's passionate about research and has been sharing her English language superpowers with children, young adults and adults since 2020.

In my approach to English Literature instruction, I employ a student-centric, multi-modal methodology. I integrate close reading of diverse texts with creative writing exercises to foster deeper engagement and critical thinking. As a B.Ed trainee myself, I find it crucial to encourage my students to explore literary themes and develop their own interpretations. I enhance reading proficiency through a variety of texts and targeted vocabulary development activities. By the end of a session, the student shall be equipped with thorough knowledge in literary analysis, and will be encouraged to further his/her research on the newly learned topic. This shall prepare them for advanced literary studies. My aim is to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for literature and empower students as confident readers and writers.
