About Emily
I became an English Teacher in 2001, teaching in Bournemouth (U.K) and abroad (South Korea, China and Japan). I have taught in Private Language Schools, Primary and Secondary Education, Private Tuition and now specialise in Online Tuition. My experience has consisted of teaching students from a range of nationalities, ages and abilities, whilst creating and providing lessons that identify and achieve the students’ language requirements and objectives. Teaching and tuition has included the content and practice of general English, topic based vocabulary, communication and comprehension skills and specific exam focused programmes such as; F.C.E, C.A.E and I.E.L.T.S. Additionally, whilst working in the U.K for Primary and Secondary Schools, I have been responsible for creating EAL teaching resources & lessons, enabling pupils to build on and improve their confidence and communication skills, as well as integrating into the classroom & accessing the National Curriculum more effectively. For the past 10 years, I have mainly taught privately online and face to face, offering bespoke lessons, created for the student's individual language needs. My aim, through my teaching is to provide a positive, enjoyable learning experience, with lessons that encourage confidence in communication and speaking, as well as developing and improving all comprehension skills.

My tuition provides tailored content to meet the individual learning requirements & objectives of each student. Lessons offer a convenient platform, developing confidence, enjoyment & expertise in all English skills & communication. Have taught a range of ages from 5+ to adults for both native & international students, teaching 1:1 online/ face to face lessons, as well as classes in independent & state schools. Tuition/ teaching has included: General English, Business English, Exam focused English (FCE, CAE, IELTS) & English National Curriculum support (Key Stage 1 & 2, SATs). I am a passionate teacher, with my students’ needs and goals always at the forefront of my teaching- delivering learning that encourages a caring, positive & enjoyable learning experience.
