About Amber
I was a Speech-Language Hearing Therapy student at Stellenbosch University. Currently I am studying a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Psychology as well as completing my TEFL certification. My time as a Speech Therapy student has allowed for a lot of experience working with individuals with speech, articulation, grammar or language impairments. I would like to think of myself as a kind and gregarious individual. I am patient and flexible and truly aim to make people feel comfortable and happy. If ever you would like to learn Afrikaans, I'm happy to teach that as well!

I like to take on an integrated approach when it comes to teaching. I am happy to teach grammar and rules but I like to remind my students that "in real life" so often we forget those rules, having said that I emphasize confidence, confidence and more confidence! Embrace your accent and be unique, in company your speech will be appreciated !
I aim to customize my methodology to best suit my students needs. I am comfortable working with EVERY age. For my younger students I like to incorporate techniques I have acquired as a Speech Therapy student ( articulation of English sounds, fun and effective worksheets.) For children I encourage homework so as to cement English structures and vocab.
