  • When did you develop an interest in your subject and private tutoring?

My passion for English grew from a love of connection—how words shape our thoughts, relationships, and personal growth. As someone who understands the challenges of learning differently, I’ve always been drawn to helping others navigate their own journeys with language.

Over time, I realized that tutoring gave me the perfect space to combine my expertise with my deep understanding of people. Teaching English isn't just about rules and structure; it's about building confidence, unlocking opportunities, and making learning a positive, empowering experience. Private tutoring allows me to work with individuals on a personal level, tailoring lessons to their needs, and guiding them toward success in a way that feels both natural and rewarding.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach English with a focus on practical communication, structured learning, and confidencebuilding. Whether working with beginners, adults, or school children, I emphasize clarity, fluency, and real-world application.

I particularly enjoy helping students develop conversational skills, as strong speaking abilities can open doors to career advancements, and personal growth.

While grammar and technical rules are important, I approach them in a way that makes learning engaging rather than overwhelming. The areas I find less appealing are overly rigid memorization techniques or disconnected exercises, but I always aim to make lessons interactive and relevant to my students’ goals.
  • Did you have any role models? Perhaps a teacher that inspired you?

Absolutely. Many great educators have shaped my approach to learning and teaching. One particular mentor encouraged me to see education as a bridge—not just a set of academic exercises but a way to connect ideas, cultures, and personal aspirations. Their ability to make learning engaging and accessible showed me that teaching isn’t about just delivering information; it’s about inspiring curiosity and confidence.

Outside of formal education, life coaching has introduced me to incredible individuals whose resilience and personal growth inspire me daily. These experiences have reinforced my belief that great teaching is rooted in understanding and empathy.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A great tutor needs a combination of expertise, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Strong communication skills are crucial—not just explaining concepts but truly listening to students, identifying their struggles, and adapting lessons accordingly. Patience is another key quality; learning is a process, and every student progresses at their own pace.

Empathy plays a significant role as well. A tutor who understands a student’s challenges, fears, and aspirations creates an environment where learning feels safe and empowering. My background in coaching helps me foster motivation, encouraging students not just to learn English but to approach it with enthusiasm and confidence.
  • Could you share an anecdote related to your subject or your student days?

One of the most memorable tutoring experiences involved a student who initially struggled with speaking English due to self-doubt. Their grammar knowledge was solid, but when it came to conversation, hesitation took over. Instead of focusing purely on language rules, I tailored our sessions around their interests—bringing in topics they loved, using storytelling techniques, and incorporating real-world conversations. Over time, their confidence grew, and one day, they surprised themselves by comfortably explaining a complex idea in English without secondguessing every word. That moment was a reminder that education isn't just about knowledge; it's about unlocking potential.
  • Did you face any difficulties at school or university?

Like many learners, I experienced moments of frustration—whether it was struggling with a complex concept or feeling uncertain about a skill. One challenge I encountered was the way some subjects were taught through rigid methods that didn’t engage creativity or real-world application. Overcoming this inspired my approach as a tutor. I make lessons dynamic, ensuring they are both structured and adaptable to how each student learns best.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of this particular subject, or something completely different?

I have a deep passion for helping people grow—whether through teaching, coaching, or mentoring. Education is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s about inspiring confidence and curiosity.

Beyond English tutoring, I have a wide range of interests, including structured learning, visual design, and even blacksmithing. Exploring different skills and crafts keeps my curiosity alive, reinforcing my belief that learning should be lifelong and diverse.
  • What makes you a Superprof?

What sets me apart is my holistic approach to teaching. I don’t just focus on textbook learning—I help students build confidence, tailor lessons to their needs, and create an engaging learning experience. My background as a life coach enhances my ability to connect with students, understand their challenges, and guide them toward success. Whether working with school children or adult learners, I ensure that lessons are supportive, effective, and adapted to individual goals.

For me, education is not just about passing a test—it’s about developing communication skills that empower people in their personal and professional lives. That’s why I’m here—to be a mentor, a guide, and a Superprof who truly invests in student success.
