About Roos
My name is Roos, I am 22 years old and I am a 3rd year linguistics student. Learning languages and language in general are a great interest of mine and I really enjoy sharing this with others, especially in the form of teaching. Teaching is something I really enjoy doing because you work together to get better at something and it is always great to see when the student has really made progress.

Based on what the student needs, we can make a lesson plan to strengthen the skills that need attention. We will mainly create and discuss practice assignments together, so that it becomes clear what is already going well and what needs more practice and, moreover, so that we can supplement the knowledge needed to make the next assignment even better! Personal attention is the basis of my lessons and therefore the approach will differ greatly per student. Are you a visual thinker and do you understand new material more easily with the help of a diagram or illustration? Then we will start working on that. Or do you have dyslexia, for example? Then we ensure that there is extra time and attention for practicing spelling. Together we will look for what works best for you.
I have experience as a tutor and exam trainer in the subjects Dutch, English and French and have also provided homework guidance. So my experience is mainly teaching high school students (of all levels and ages), but for other students (primary school age or adults who have to take an English test) I am also confident that we can set up a plan that works. for you! Regarding the duration of the lessons, my preference is for lessons of 1 hour, but if you have a different preference, this can of course be discussed.
