About Adam

I'm Adam, an organic chemist with a PhD from the University of Cambridge. My research involved the synthesis of biologically active natural products, but during my time at Cambridge I also gave many supervisions (the Cambridge word for tutorials), as well as tutoring several students in A level chemistry.

About the lesson

I believe that A levels should be about more than just learning facts, and make an effort to ensure that the student understands the context to the material they're learning. This understanding is backed up with extensive practice of past exam questions, with detailed feedback to make sure that they're 100% comfortable with the topic, and won't be in for a shock when it comes to exam time.

Adam tutored my daughter online during her A levels. She needed an A* but had consistently been achieving B’s in her mock/practice exams.

Adam assessed her current knowledge and then came up with a structured plan to get all of the topics covered in a short amount of time. He also kept my wife updated throughout the tuition so that we knew progress was being made.

Overall a reliable and professional tutor. Our daughter got the A* she deserved through her hard work and Adam’s help and experience.
