I was in need of a tutor for English. I wasn't to good at writing and my punctuation even worse. After working with Shaqira, I'm so much more confident in my writing. She taught me in such a calm way and was so supportive. There has never been a lesson in which I wasn't happy with, she's fun and always happy. With old tutors, it felt like I was in a boring lesson and was looking forward till time was up. However, with Shaqira it was the exact opposite. She introduced ways we could learn fairly easily, including games and lots more. She even gave us prizes for completing homework, all in all I loved her lessons.

I can highly recommand Shaqiera, she is a star. We met twice a week in a cafe and she was super flexible in preparing the lessons. Use of English, reading, speaking... it was always great fun and I recognized an improvement after a few lessons. Her examples have been easy to understand (even for non-native speakers).

Now, I am back in Switzerland and we have some Skype-lessons to prepare the Cambridge exam.

Shaqiera started giving me English lessons six months ago. My knowledge of English was quite poor, I had never studied grammar before so she had to go through the vary basics of English grammar. After a few sessions I was already able to make up sentences and be confident with listening and speaking. She was very patient, always on time and her positivity is contagious.
She's a natural talent when it comes to teaching and I'm so thankful that I found her and highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn English in a funny way.

I first used Shaqiera two years ago when a number of tutors kept letting me down and didn't deliver what I needed, leaving us behind schedule for lessons. Shaqiera literally saved the day. She replanned the lessons to ensure all lessons were covered before exams. She was able to help with both essays and verbal tests and was very accomplished in her abilities. Shaqiera is very helpful and patient while teaching all the necessary expressions you have to know. She helped me a lot improving my English, practising the pronunciations.

Shaqiera is a very nice and kind friend of mine, she was graduated from the University of York, majoring in Human Rights Law. As a senior teacher as well as a language trainer for 7 years, I think she has got a couple of very important features of being an excellent teacher. First of all, she is a very hard working and patient girl. When both of us were post graduate students in our university, she helped me record several English tutorial clips, Even though we redid the film for so many times, she always showed her highly cooperative spirit as well as deep interests in education. Secondly, She is a native English speaker, her English accent is beautiful and her literacy appreciation skill is very high, she really likes writing poems and also writes me one for my wedding ceremony. So from where I stand, she will become a very competent teacher in the future.
