About Sophia
I am an A-level student at a top sixth form in London who is excited at the prospect of tutoring. I was head girl at my secondary school and have nurtured my ability to lead others. I am compassionate and patient, and understand that a student enjoying their learning is paramount to their success. As a tutor I will create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are reassured of their merit. I wish to develop students' existing ability by focusing on their individual needs. I have good explanation skills, am an eloquent speaker and have a flexible approach to learning. My academic record of 10 GCSEs at grades 8-9 is evidence of my aptitude for learning, and I wish to support other students in achieving their academic goals.

Lessons will be 60 minutes long, and designed for KS3 and KS4 students. They will incorporate active recall, consolidation of content via planned lessons and are flexible to the individual's needs - focusing on the areas the student is struggling most with. I have previously mentored year 7 and 8 students with Numeracy and English and have routinely led study groups.
