About Anna
I completed my undergraduate degree at Exeter University in Psychology and then completed a PGCE in primary teaching at Bath in 2009. Since then I have been working as both a classroom teacher and a full-time tutor. I tutor at clients' homes, over Skype and also on residential placements. I specialise in entrance exams, such as 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, 11+ & 13+ for top London schools, with an extremely high success rate. I am comfortable tutoring all subjects across the curriculum. I have recently got involved in designing test papers for entrance exams which has allowed me to take advantage of the curriculum knowledge that I have gained over my time working in the field. Through tutoring and class teaching I have worked with a number of children with special educational needs, English as an additional language and also pupils who are gifted and talented. Anna is a very experienced math teacher. She is very engaging, knowledgeable and the kids loved learning maths with her.
Anna is a, fastidious, enthusiastic, dedicated and gifted teacher. She prepared my daughter, who was very lacking in confidence, for the 11+ exams. Initally, the 11+ process was caused my child a lot of stress and Anna was the only tutor I found who was relieve her anxiety and help her realise her potential. In fact, one of Anna's greatest strengths is her ability to instil confidence in children, which is a vital ingredient for 11+ success. Not only did she provide fantastic 11+ support for my child, but also made the rather stressful process of preparing for exams fun and interactive. I cannot recommend Anna highly enough!
