Violette has worked online with my daughter who is doing A level French for a year now. She is excellent, I would recommend her to anyone. My daughter had found she has really helped with all aspects of her understanding of the French language, especially with grammar and general comprehension of complex language. She has also provided super helpful resources and effective ways of revising.

Violette has been teaching me French for a few months now and has really helped demystify French grammar so it's a bit less scary now! I really appreciate how she tailors each class to my needs and takes on my suggestions. Her lessons are engaging, interactive and versatile. I would definitely recommend Violette to anyone who wants to learn French:)

As an A-level student, Violette has helped me grow in confidence in grammar, speaking and constructing sentences and essays. She is always supportive of me and encourages questions (there are no silly questions!) and puts in extra time and effort to properly explain things/points. I often struggled with understanding grammar, which had made my work incomprehensible; however, she has helped me work on simplifying and looking for other ways to use complex language that I actually understand. She continuously incorporates areas of weakness with strength to make sure you get practice on everything using a range of sources and exam questions. Above all, Violette has always been kind and patient. I cannot recommend her enough!!

Violette has been a great tutor, friendly, reliable, and very understanding and flexible when I had reschedule a lesson.
Very professional, with great knowledge of the topic, which she was able to teach very well. Couldn’t recommend her enough!!
A really patient and dynamic tutor

Violette is professional, patient and creative. Her lessons are always well prepared, informative and engaging. She is able to teach complex grammar in a way that is easy to understand. I would strongly recommend her to anyone seeking to learn or improve their French.

I had Violette for a French tutor for my last year of university studying French and she was extremely helpful in improving my level of French for my final exams. We covered translation, speaking, and complex grammatical points. I noticed that my grades improved rapidly and my spoken French as well. She is a very good tutor and I couldn’t recommend her enough.

I have been having French lessons with Violette for approx 3 months now. My vocabulary has increased massively and I am learning so much! Lessons are fun, look forward to them every week! Thank you Violette

Violette is an excellent French tutor with exceptional teaching skills. From our very first lesson, Violette was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very patient with me. She takes the time to properly explain her lesson content and is only too happy to answer any questions with precision. I would highly recommend Violette for her French lessons. Thank you very much.

This year, I contacted Violette to get help for my English course. I was following the
year-11 syllabus in France, studying remotely with the CNED (National Centre for
Distance Education). Due to the intense course structure, I decided to take private
lessons in order to maintain a consistent work rhythm.
I ended the year with an overall grade of 19,25/20 for this specific subject.
With Violette, I covered topics such as street art, the protection of the environment,
racism, music, and many other themes.
Together, we practised every language skill: listening and reading, writing and, above
all speaking, which helped me to make significant progress and gave me more
confidence to express myself in English.
During this year with Violette, I had a lot of fun. She is a very kind, funny and friendly
teacher. It is obvious that she loves to teach English but, most of all, that she loves to
see her students make progress. She has made me and still makes me eager to
learn this beautiful language.
Something that I really liked in her approach is that she not only adjusted to my
needs but also to the things I am passionate about. For example, because I am
training to become a professional musician, she made me at times work on
documents which had a strong connection to music.
In addition, Violette put strategies in place to help me overcome my difficulties.
Another very convenient aspect of Violette’s tuition is that after each session and on
the same day, she emails back the lesson’s material and the written notes, as well as
a summary of what has been covered during the session. This summary also
includes recommendations and homework for the next session. This helped me a lot
with making progress.
To finish, since I live in France and she lives in England, the remote video tuition has
given me more freedom, especially since Violette manages the IT aspect very well.

informatique.

I’m very pleased to recommend Violette as a French teacher. Over the past school year, she has worked with my son and made a remarkable difference in both his confidence and performance in the subject. Thanks to her patient and reliable teaching style, his grades have improved significantly, and more importantly, he now has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of the language.

Violette’s lessons are engaging and interactive, which has made learning enjoyable for him. He always looks forward to his sessions, and it's been wonderful to see him take such a positive interest in French.

We are very happy with Violette’s support and will be continuing to work with her in the upcoming school year. I highly recommend her to any family looking for a dedicated and effective French tutor.

I have had Violette as my french tutor for the past 9 months for one hour a week and I have really enjoyed improving my French with her. We do a mix of conversational french at the start and then we look at the structure of the language which we then put into practice through reading and speaking with each other. We will also listen to examples, dissect it and then find the appropriate responses to it. Violette is patient and enthusiastic. Her class plans cover a good amount but still allow me to delve into each subject and have a solid foundation for the learning and progression in my understanding of the language. I would really recommend Violette to anyone wanting to learn or improve their French as she is an excellent teacher and a native French speaker too which I think is also important when being taught the language.

Violette is incredibly kind and patient, which was exactly what I needed as someone with a low French level. I needed someone I could be vulnerable to make mistakes with, and she allowed me to do that. It's also clear she puts a huge amount of work into her lessons, yet she's always willing to tailor to what you need.

Violette is an excellent tutor. She helped me translate my poem into French and coached me in my pronunciation. Throughout our lesson, she was patient, thorough, diligent and sensitive. It was a fun lesson and so I learned a lot.
I would highly recommend Violette. Formidable!

Violette is a wonderful French teacher for me ! She is super patient and professional with French leaners , I have started French lessons with her with no previous background, but have since thoroughly enjoyed our weekly class and improved my French with lots of joy and fun definitely recommend her !

Violette has been giving my 5yo son French lessons for several months and it is the highlight of his week! He enjoys it so much and she always makes the lessons very fun and engaging. Communications are very good - she keeps us updated each week on what he has learned and his progress, and sends through the various resources she has used so we can practice at home. Violette makes an effort to theme her lessons around the seasons - Summer holidays, Halloween, Christmas, etc. This keeps the content fresh and interesting. My son has made really good progress with her and is already reading and doing phonics in French.

Violette is a very engaging teacher and manage to tailor the lesson to the children’s interests. My son is very motivated every week for the learning session and has developed immensely his French skills.

I started lessons with Violette at the end of January and stopped at the beginning of June with a view to preparing for a competitive examination to enter an international section. Violette adapted to my needs and did her utmost to help me prepare for the exam. All the sessions were enriching and appropriate. I made rapid progress and gained confidence in English. The lessons were well structured and rich. I was able to work on grammar as well as pronunciation, comprehension and essay construction. Violette was patient and a good listener. I really enjoyed working with her over the last few months. I highly recommend her if you want to make rapid progress !

Violette is the superprof !
She is very kind and so professional.
She always adjusts to yours needs.
I highly recommend Violette for kids, students or professional needs.

I am very happy to recommend you Violette, who has been my English teacher for six years now.

Violette is a very competent teacher who has made a huge contribution to my learning and mastery of the English language. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students is evident at every stage of her work. Violette succeeds in making English classes not only instructive but also exciting.

What sets Violette apart from other teachers is the format of her courses, which take place via Zoom and can be adapted to suit each level, each school year, ... She manages to adapt her teaching methods to meet the individual needs of her students.
She constantly encourages students to express themselves, to ask questions and to engage actively in the learning process. Working in private lessons allows me to express myself without shyness and makes me progress much faster.

I have no doubt that Violette will continue to have a positive impact on all the students who are lucky enough to benefit from her teaching.

Violette is an excellent French teacher.

Her knowledge and explanations of French grammar are fantastic, while her teaching style is both fun and engaging.

Violette creates lessons which dovetail with topics I am interested in, I have family living in France and I am interested in French history, which makes the learning experience particularly enjoyable.

I would certainly recommend Violette to anyone learning French and looking for an outstanding teacher who is dedicated and creative.

I couldn’t recommend Violette more. So friendly, knowledgeable, adaptable, and goes the extra mile!

A bit about me:
As a dyslexic French Studies Graduate and a French speaking professional, I was looking for a mentor with an excellent level of French and with a background in teaching to a high level. The hope was to help me maintain my level of French and to increase my confidence post-studies going into the world of work. I was delighted to find Violette who even worked at the same Uni I went to! I have weekly lessons over Zoom.

A bit about Violette’s sessions:
Violette’s teaching/mentoring style suits me perfectly (not an easy feat for someone with Dyslexia!). With focus on all speaking, grammar, reading, and writing. She is so motivated and her positivity and encouragement shines through. It felt like we got on from the moment we met.
Her lesson plans are tailored to my preferred learning style, using PowerPoints which I can interact with (I can type on her screen even over Zoom!!). These help me visualise the topic, get involved with exercises (most importantly speaking!) and give me a point of reference after the sessions.
We tackle subjects which increase my overall knowledge of the French language and French culture, whilst also translating into my needs for work and day to day interactions.
We have also focused on grammar, doing exercises and using those helpful PowerPoint slides to go along side her explanations.
For speaking fluency (my main aim and the one central to our lessons), we speak on a topic and she writes down what I have said. We then go over the text to look at anything which could have been said in a clearer/ more French way! I don’t need to worry about making notes at all. Super helpful and just what I need!
Violette also supports me with any extra work I have done during the week. Also sending me detailed write ups of every lesson, along with any additional learning materials or PowerPoints covered in the lesson. These are a godsend for me, as it helps me remember the session and build on my learning.

Thanks for everything Violette!

I have been tutored by Violette for over 6 months. She is a great tutor with a clear and methodical teaching style. I have found her lessons engaging. She personalises lessons according to your situation. She is very adaptable and happy to answer any questions away from the lesson topic. Regarding scheduling she is accommodating with lesson times and days with the appropriate notice.

I am a complete beginner and have found Violette to be an excellent tutor. She is encouraging, patient, and knowledgeable, adapting her content and teaching to meet my learning style and needs. Her lessons are engaging and varied and act both to build confidence and ability.

My husband and I have been learning French from Violette since this last October and we are loving it! We would highly recommend Violette to anyone wanting to learn French.

Violette is a wonderful teacher - the lessons are always fun and varied and she takes great care to cater to specific needs and interests.

I found that my speaking skills in particular came on leaps and bounds with Violette's help and she is always very patient and thorough in explaining things I take more time to get my head around.

Overcoming embarrassment can be a big barrier to learning a new language, and with Violette I feel completely relaxed and free to make mistakes without judgement :) !

I have been having French lessons with Violette for over a year. She is very reliable and always prepares good lesson plans, well matched to my abilities.
