About Zachary
Spanish is part of a thirteen-year tutoring career during which I have taught 590 students, approaching those years with real intensity and a genuine hunger to keep improving as a teacher. I treat every first session as an investigation rather than a lesson, spending most of the time asking questions and listening rather than teaching, so I understand exactly where a student's understanding breaks down before deciding how to help. My approach leans on Socratic questioning, guiding students through smaller questions rather than handing over ready made answers, since conclusions reached independently stick far longer. Sessions stay fast paced, switching between talking, writing, and practice every few minutes to keep focus sharp. I encourage students to test their own hypotheses on paper before I confirm or correct them, building genuine intuition. Every student receives a short written summary after each lesson highlighting what was covered and what to review.
