About Summer
Hi, I’m Summer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from UCF and a professional background as a project manager in construction for over 10 years. My work requires clear communication, organization, and problem-solving every day, which I bring into my tutoring. I love to travel, and visit California (USA) and Colombia (South America) at least once a year, which has helped me appreciate different cultures and communication styles. I enjoy helping students learn in a way that feels structured, practical, and confidence-building. Outside of tutoring, I also enjoy gardening, photography, and spending time with my family.

My approach is clear, structured, and focused on building real understanding. I break concepts down into simple, manageable steps so students don’t feel overwhelmed and can build confidence as they learn.
For English, I focus on practical communication—helping students speak clearly, expand vocabulary, and feel more comfortable in real conversations.
For math, I focus on understanding the “why” behind problems, not just memorizing steps, so students can apply what they learn independently.
A typical lesson is organized but flexible:

I adjust pacing and style based on each student’s level and goals. Some students need more repetition and structure, while others benefit from faster-paced, application-based learning.
