About Erick
Hello, I’m Erick, a graduate of Industrial Mathematics from JKUAT. I enjoy teaching because I believe mathematics becomes much easier when concepts are explained clearly and connected to practical examples. As a tutor, I am patient, friendly and committed to understanding each student’s individual needs. I want to help my students overcome the fear of difficult topics, improve their problem-solving skills and gain confidence in their abilities. I create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions freely, learn from mistakes and progress at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students pass exams but also to develop a genuine understanding of mathematics and statistics.

My tutoring approach is patient, practical and student-centred. I first try to understand the student’s current level, learning needs and areas of difficulty. I then break complex mathematical and statistical concepts into simple, manageable steps and explain them using clear examples. I encourage students to ask questions and participate actively rather than simply memorising formulas. I also adapt my teaching pace according to the student’s understanding and provide practice questions to strengthen their skills. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can make mistakes, learn from them and gradually develop confidence, independence and a deeper understanding of the subject.
