About Luke
Originally, I studied to be an English teacher to help me see the world. I studied for my CELTA in London, and finished that course with a Grade A. That's the foundation of my English teaching, and that methodology works well. My path has gone from teacher to academic coordinator, to ESL director, via the UK, China and Bolivia. I've been in charge of an ESL institute for 8 years. I organize courses, hire&train teachers, and run a monthly conversation club. I've prepared a lot of resources for English students too including an 8-book series for Bolivian children learning English, and grammar videos for the Official Cambridge Dictionary. I like variety, and I'm looking to meet and teach more people from around the world. For me, English teaching is a great way to learn about other cultures and it's a job I feel I can do very well.

The best English classes start by listening to the student's goals, then building classes to fit those goals. I can zero in on individual vocab/grammar doubts with quick demonstrations , but most of all I want to give you fun things to talk about to build your speaking confidence.
I'm trained to grade my language too-which means if you're a beginner, I'm going to keep my teaching language simple and clear. But if you're more advanced I can stretch out a little to help you encounter more difficult parts of English to assist you in learning them.
I've built many courses over my career so far, but whatever we're learning; we'll go at YOUR pace, not mine.
