About Eva
I have over fifteen years of experience working with students in the UK and internationally. I have been organising one-to-one and group lesson plans for a wide variety of students, all ages and levels. I have tailored fun courses to schools, libraries and community centres. I have prepared chess workshops as part of Art galleries programs and Arts Festivals (London Casual Chess Café, Learning, Transformation Technique, AntiUniversity Now).

I normally start my lessons by introducing new concepts and tactics. After that, I offer exercises, puzzles and many other additional creative resources so students can feel inspired and improve their own games. At the end of the lesson, we always have time to reflect on the learning. I believe education works best when it is fun. Chess is one of the most exciting games in the world. I believe chess is for everybody. I do have an up-to-date DBS available on request. - Which subject(s) do you teach? The chessboard, pieces, check versus checkmate, stalemate versus checkmate, special moves, opening principles, classical openings, modern openings, open games, semi-open games, closed games, flank openings, the centre, the wings, sacrifices, pawn formations, strengths and weaknesses, the end games, games analysis, glossary, herstory/history of chess. I've got my teaching training from the FEDA, Spanish Chess federation. I regularly participate in chess tournaments like the London Chess Classic or the International Hastings Chess Congress.
