Hello, My name is Kelly Lau Wan San.
You may call me Kelly or Wan San.
Let's start with the primary level, some students don't know how to differentiate proper fractions and improper fractions.
A proper fraction is the fraction with the value of the denominator greater than the value of the numerator. An improper fraction is the fraction with the value of the denominator smaller than the value of the numerator.
For those who are weak at fundamentals in this chapter, I will ask them to imagine the denominator is a mother and the numerator is the son. When the age, which is the value of the mother, is greater than the age, which is the value of the son, then we call it a proper fraction. Inversely, when the value of the son, which is the numerator, is greater than the mother, which is the denominator, then we call it an improper fraction.
This is how I teach primary students who are weak at fundamentals, I will teach by weaving an interesting story that connects to the chapter so that they can understand in a short period.
