I met Ramon through the local comics meetup he runs. As a student in his first comics anthology workshop, his lessons in writing and art were invaluable to building a competitive comics portfolio. Importantly, Ramon had the class work as a team, and that was important to understand the collaborative nature of the comics world. I highly recommend him as an instructor!

I've known Ramon for close to a decade through his extraordinary efforts to educate and connect people in the comics scene. I’ve studied with Ramon for a few years, and I find him to be knowledgeable about all aspects of art, comics and graphic novel creation. Thanks to Ramon’s instruction through the comic art workshop, which led to my first published work through pronto comics, I was able to create comics at the professional level. This would lead to me working with dc comics and IDW publishing later on. I still continue to use what I learned in those early days whenever I begin a new project. Ramon teaches every step of the process of making comics and usually has the answer for any question you may have. He genuinely makes a great mentor for both the new student or those looking to sharpen their skills and graduate to the next level.
