About Sevde
I continue my academic work as a PhD student and research assistant in Economics. For over five years, I have been teaching AP Economics, IB Economics, and university-level microeconomics and macroeconomics courses. I have experience working with students on a wide range of topics, from supply and demand analysis and elasticities to consumer and firm behavior and market structures; national income, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, monetary and fiscal policies, and international trade. In my courses, I emphasize explaining economic concepts not only through definitions but also through graphs, current examples, and cause-and-effect relationships. My goal is for students to develop economic thinking skills rather than rote memorization, and to be able to interpret the questions they encounter independently. I create a personalized study plan for each student according to their level, school program, and goals; and I conduct my classes online.

I offer personalized tutoring, problem-solving, and exam preparation support for AP Economics, IB Economics, and university-level microeconomics and macroeconomics courses. My focus is on understanding the logic behind economic models rather than memorizing formulas and graphs. I identify areas for improvement based on the student's notes, textbooks, syllabuses, and exam schedule, progressing step-by-step. I have over 5 years of experience tutoring AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, IB Economics, Introduction to Economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. I tailor the lesson plan to the student's level and goals, and conduct classes online.
