About Madeline
My interest in Excel developed from understanding the power of structured data analysis for decision-making. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Information Systems followed by an M.Sc in Data Analytics, equipping me with both practical and theoretical expertise. Over 6 years, I have guided students through building foundational skills, advanced functions, and data visualisation mastery.
I teach using clarity, structured guidance, and hands-on examples to ensure learners gain both understanding and practical ability. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and problem-solving, helping students apply Excel skills effectively in academic and professional contexts.
Outside teaching, I work with datasets, automate processes, and explore new Excel features, integrating these insights into lessons to enhance relevance and engagement. Witnessing students confidently manipulate data, create visualisations, and solve problems independently is highly rewarding, motivating me to continue developing tailored and effective teaching approaches.

I emphasise practical problem-solving and workflow optimisation, allowing learners to connect features with real-world tasks. Each lesson encourages experimentation, independent thinking, and applying Excel techniques to diverse scenarios, building both competence and confidence in data handling.
Lessons are tailored to student skill levels. Beginners focus on basic navigation, simple formulae, and formatting to establish a strong foundation.
