About Melanie
I developed my expertise in Excel through a strong interest in data organisation, analysis, and problem-solving. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Business Analytics and an M.Sc in Data Management, gaining proficiency in both practical and theoretical aspects of data handling. Over 8 years, I have guided learners in mastering spreadsheets, helping them develop logical, analytical, and decision-making skills.
My teaching approach emphasises interactive learning, hands-on exercises, and applied examples. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and independent problem-solving while providing structured guidance tailored to each student’s level.

Intermediate learners explore complex functions, nested formulae, lookup functions, pivot tables, and data visualisation. Advanced learners dive into macros, advanced formula creation, automation, and data modelling techniques. Each session includes hands-on exercises, problem-solving tasks, and guided practice to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
