About Sienna
My interest in Excel and data analysis began with curiosity about organizing, interpreting, and visualizing information effectively. I earned a B.Sc in Information Systems and an M.Sc in Business Analytics, gaining expertise in spreadsheet design, data management, and applied analytics. Over 11 years, I have helped learners of varying skill levels build competence in Excel, develop analytical thinking, and acquire practical data-handling skills.
I teach using a structured, hands-on, and interactive approach. Lessons combine step-by-step explanations, real-world examples, practical exercises, and scenario-based problem-solving to make skills applicable and memorable. Students are encouraged to explore functions independently, apply creative solutions, and develop efficiency in working with data.
Beyond teaching, I remain updated with Excel developments, analytics techniques, and productivity strategies to integrate practical and contemporary relevance into lessons. Witnessing learners progress from uncertainty to confidence, mastering both simple and advanced functionalities, is deeply fulfilling. My mission is to guide learners into becoming proficient, analytical, and confident users of Excel, capable of leveraging its full potential in academic and professional contexts.

My lessons cover advanced formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, charts, data analysis, VBA basics, and automation techniques. I focus on practical application and hands-on problem-solving, ensuring learners can directly apply skills to academic, professional, or personal projects. Each session integrates examples from real-world business, finance, data science, and administrative tasks, allowing students to see immediate results from their learning.
Lesson plans are adapted to the learner’s proficiency. Beginners learn cell referencing, basic formulas, formatting, and simple charts with patient guidance and practical exercises. Intermediate learners explore advanced functions, data analysis, pivot tables, lookup functions, and multi-sheet modeling. Advanced learners dive into automation, macros, complex dashboards, VBA scripting, and integrating Excel with other applications. Each lesson includes exercises, guided practice, and scenario-based tasks to ensure learners gain mastery, confidence, and the ability to work independently.
