About Alec
My interest in Excel and data systems started from curiosity about how information is organized in businesses and how decisions are made using structured data. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and have 8 years of experience teaching Excel to students and working professionals. Over time, I have helped learners move from basic understanding to advanced data handling skills.
I believe Excel becomes easier when learners understand logic instead of memorizing functions. My teaching method focuses on breaking down formulas step by step and connecting them with real-life data examples. I encourage learners to practice regularly and explore different ways of solving the same problem to build flexibility and confidence.
In the long run, my goal is to help learners become highly confident in working with data in any professional environment. I aim to develop their ability to analyze complex datasets, create meaningful reports, and support decision-making processes. As they advance, they gain the confidence to handle business data, financial reports, and analytical tasks independently, which prepares them for careers in administration, analytics, finance, and operations where Excel plays a critical role in success.

My Excel lessons are designed to help students understand how data can be organized, analyzed, and transformed into meaningful insights using simple and structured steps. I teach topics such as formulas, functions, data cleaning, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, and basic automation tools. Instead of treating Excel as just a software tool, I help students understand it as a powerful system for logical thinking and decision-making. This makes learning more practical and useful.
Each lesson is adjusted according to the learner’s level and comfort. Beginners focus on basic navigation, simple formulas, and spreadsheet structure. Intermediate learners work on functions, data analysis, and reporting tools. Advanced learners explore dashboards, complex formulas, and business-level reporting techniques. Every session includes guided practice to ensure clarity and confidence.
In the long run, my goal is to help learners develop a strong ability to think through data and use Excel as a decision-support tool in real situations. As they progress, they begin to see patterns in data, organize information efficiently, and build reports that communicate clear insights. This skill becomes valuable not only in academics but also in business, finance, research, and professional environments where data-driven thinking is essential for growth and success.
