About Yamini
My interest in Excel and data management started when I began working with spreadsheets for organising information and solving practical problems. This led me to complete a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, where I developed strong technical and analytical skills. Over the past 9 years, I have helped students and professionals learn Excel in a simple, structured, and practical way that builds confidence and real-world ability.
I believe Excel should be taught through practice and clear explanation. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down features into easy steps and helping students understand how each function works. I guide learners through exercises, encourage questions, and support them in building skills gradually. This helps students feel comfortable using Excel and improves their confidence with each lesson.
Outside teaching, I continue working on data projects and learning new Excel features and tools. This allows me to keep my lessons updated and relevant. Teaching Excel is very rewarding because I see students move from confusion to confidence. Helping them develop useful skills, improve efficiency, and feel capable of handling real-world data tasks is one of the most satisfying parts of my work.

Excel becomes easy and powerful when students understand how to use it step by step in real situations. My lessons focus on essential skills such as data entry, formatting, formulae, functions, charts, and basic data analysis. I explain each concept in simple language and guide students through practical exercises so they can apply what they learn immediately. I also use real-life examples like budgeting, reports, and data tracking to make lessons more meaningful and relatable. Each session is structured in a calm and supportive way, allowing students to learn comfortably and ask questions without hesitation.
As students improve, I gradually introduce more advanced features. Beginners start with basic navigation, simple formulae, and formatting. Intermediate learners work on functions like VLOOKUP, IF statements, pivot tables, and charts. Advanced students focus on data analysis, dashboards, automation basics, and efficient spreadsheet management. I provide step-by-step guidance, practice tasks, and regular feedback so students can improve steadily and confidently at every stage of learning.
Excel skills are very useful in both academic and professional life. As students gain confidence, they become more efficient in organising data, solving problems, and making decisions based on information. They also develop logical thinking and attention to detail. My goal is to help learners feel comfortable using Excel, build practical skills they can use in real situations, and develop confidence in handling data with clarity and accuracy over time.
