About Indira
My interest in Excel developed when I first began studying how digital tools can help people organize and analyze information more effectively. I quickly realized that spreadsheets are extremely powerful because they allow users to perform calculations quickly and present information in a structured way. This interest encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and later complete a Master’s in Information Systems.
Over the past 8 years, I have taught Excel to students and professionals who wanted to improve their ability to work with spreadsheets and manage data efficiently. Through my teaching experience, I discovered that many learners initially find Excel confusing because they are unfamiliar with formulas and advanced spreadsheet tools. Because of this, I focus on explaining each feature clearly and guiding students step by step through practical exercises.
My teaching approach emphasizes hands-on practice and real-world application. I encourage students to use Excel for tasks such as organizing data, preparing reports, and analyzing information in a meaningful way. Helping learners develop confidence in using spreadsheets effectively is one of the most rewarding parts of my teaching experience.

My Excel lessons are designed to help students understand how spreadsheets can be used to organize information, perform calculations, and analyze data effectively. Excel is an important tool used in many academic and professional environments because it allows users to manage large amounts of information in a structured and efficient way. In my lessons, I guide students through spreadsheet tools step by step so they can understand how to work confidently with data.
Lessons usually begin with the fundamental features of Excel so beginners can build a strong foundation. Students first learn how to enter and organize data in cells, adjust formatting, and perform simple calculations using formulas. Once these basic skills are clear, learners explore commonly used functions such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, and logical functions that help automate calculations and simplify data management tasks.
As students develop greater confidence, lessons expand to include tools such as sorting and filtering datasets, applying conditional formatting, and creating charts that visually present information. Students also learn how to build pivot tables and structured reports that summarize complex data clearly. My goal is to help learners develop practical Excel skills that they can apply in academic projects, workplace tasks, and everyday data management activities.
