About Jack
Hi my name’s Jack and I’m a recent Master's Graduate from the University of Exeter, I’m passionate about Maths and History and love helping people engage with learning and finding their greatest potential. Maths is such a great building block and contributes to all other subjects allowing you to move forwards and help you in the area you feel most passionate about. Another passion of mine is Athletics where I compete and also have 6 years' experience, coaching kids from ages 6+ and I’ve been able to use the critical thinking and problem-solving skills from my time studying maths within coaching. I’m always here to help and look forward to smashing your goals with you!!

Changeable structure, tailored to your child specifically and how they work, whether they respond to focused organised lessons where we tackle each topic one by one or prefer a more adaptable session where we can review various gaps in knowledge or simply review areas they feel need practice. Focus on their personal goals is important, feeling in control of these goals and being able to see how far they have progressed gives students the motivation to use what they have learnt, using exam questions and topic review quizzes are a few of the ways I do this but also asking the students to describe their own strengths and weaknesses and subsequently being able to look back and see which of the weaknesses they’ve developed and which of the strengths have become stronger. Making the student comfortable and being able to actively listen to them is important in my lessons, I think this is so important to have a learning environment that they feel they belong to as this makes the lesson less like a chore and more something to look forward to where goals can be smashed and passions can be found
