About Michael
My name is Michael Floyd. I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I started tutoring in high school and continued ever since. Professionally, I have worked in many different industries. I've taught high school, worked as a Data Scientist, created my own company and app Transfyr, and handled legal cases in criminal, civil, and civil rights law. I've been vegan for almost 7 years and like to work out.

My teaching technique focuses on building the background knowledge of the subject, then explaining the material so the student can understand. What I see in Mathematics is students who struggled in previous courses and expect to perform better in the subsequent course. The knowledge missed from those previously troublesome courses will affect your performance in the current subject. What set me a part as a tutor is the bond I create with each student; because most students dislike Math, it is important that the student likes me. I typically instruct high school, college, and graduate level students.
