About Gladys
Hello, students! My name is Gladys, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in education (education in TESL). If you have no idea what TESL is, it stands for Teaching English as a Second Language. I’ve always had a passionate interest in English ever since I was in primary school, despite having no one around me who speaks and practices this language on a daily basis. English grew on me and I’ve had pleasant experiences tutoring younger kids and teenagers, both paid and unpaid. I then became an enthusiastic tutor because as I watched my students’ improvement, I noticed that I’m improving as well. I learned a lot throughout those journeys of teaching. It continues to amaze me because having to witness the genuine hard work and effort of these students is only possible when I teach. Hence, I took it upon myself to pursue a field that best suits my interest.

My English lessons aim to enhance both practical communication skills and strong academic foundations. I mainly focus on the four important main skills every student can master. My lessons will help students improve their grammar, vocabulary, speaking fluency, and their writing skills through engaging lesson plans that provide clear explanations and guided practice. Every lesson will be adapted and personalized to students’ respective levels so they are able to enjoy the lesson while still making real progress, hopefully in both academic and general use of English.
