About Jia Min

Hello students,

I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor with a deep passion for sharing the beauty and of the Chinese language and culture. My journey with Chinese began many years ago, and it has since become a central part of my life. The richness of its history, the intricacy of its characters, and the melody in its tones have always fascinated me. This passion led me to pursue advanced studies in the language, along with extensive travels to Chinese-speaking regions to immerse myself fully in the culture.

I want to teach because I believe language is a bridge that connects people, opens doors to new worlds, and enriches our understanding of each other.

Teaching Chinese is not just about imparting knowledge of vocabulary and grammar; it's about sharing stories, traditions, and ways of thinking that are intertwined with the language. My goal is to inspire you, to ignite a curiosity and love for Chinese that goes beyond textbooks, and to support you in becoming not just proficient in the language but also knowledgeable about the cultural nuances that make learning truly meaningful.

Through personalized lessons, engaging materials, and a supportive learning environment, I aim to make your learning journey enjoyable and rewarding. Whether you're learning Chinese for travel, work, or personal enrichment, I'm here to guide you every step of the way, helping you achieve your goals and discover the joy of connecting with another culture.

Let's embark on this exciting journey together!

About the lesson

My personal approach to private tutoring in Chinese or English emphasizes a tailored, immersive experience that builds confidence and proficiency. I start by assessing each student's current level and learning style, then customize lessons to match their interests and goals. For example, if a student enjoys music, we might incorporate Chinese or English songs into our lessons to enhance vocabulary and listening skills. For those interested in culture, we can explore Chinese history and idioms through storytelling, making learning more engaging and memorable. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to practice speaking and writing, with regular feedback to help them improve steadily. By making lessons relevant and fun, students become more motivated and invested in their learning journey.
