About Alan
I am a highly experienced physics and science teacher in a Scottish secondary school. I have many years tutoring experience and I enjoy teaching all age groups. I am available for tutoring in the evenings and weekends and anytime on a Friday.
I consider myself to be a kind and patient teacher and I enjoy the process of supporting students to reach their potential.
It is very rewarding to see the confidence of pupils improve as result of their efforts when helped along the way through individual tutoring.
I am also a qualified CELTA teacher and so this could be useful for students whose first language is not English. I am a native English speaker.

We will establish the areas that require improvement and then create personalised lessons that will help you reach your goal. I will make sure that learning matches the specific outcomes of the curriculum and level you are working at.
If you are preparing for exams, the plan could involve working through past paper questions together and modelling answers or going over homework and revision work that your school has set. As an exam marker I can give valuable insights into the approach you should be taking to specific types of questions.
