About Sofia
I grew up with parents who highly emphasized languages and fluency. Benefiting from this good fortune, I became fully fluent in both Spanish and French. I am a native English and Spanish speaker, and attended a bilingual French school, the French-American School of New York for 11 years, from the age of 5, and thus have a quasi-native pronunciation. I have also lived in France for two years.
I have taken both the SAT II and AP tests in French and Spanish, achieving the maximum scores of 800 and 5 respectively. I can also help prepare students for these exams and certifications.

I have acquired over 3 years of experience in teaching and tutoring in language centers and through independent tutoring.
I attended a bilingual French school, the French-American School of New York, for 11 years, during which I learned to speak, read and write French at a native level.
I have helped teach French to children as young as 5 up to high school and college students as well as adults in continuing education.
I tutor students spanning a wide range of ages, goals, and abilities. I enjoy not only teaching, but coaching students in finding the joy of learning and the mindset and mental shortcuts that accelerate this process.
