About Katie
I am currently studying Teaching at University, and after spending a year in Japan, I have a passion for teaching Japanese. It is such a beautiful language, which once you understand the grammer behind it, becomes quite simple. I believe in teaching step by step, and will not move forward until my student fully understands.
I have a fun and bubbly personality and am so excited to share my love for Japanese.

Konnichiwa! My name is Katie, I have a deep love for Japanese, cultivated from a year-long immersive experience living in Japan.
I have previous experience teaching Japanese in both high schools and online, and particularly enjoy working with beginners.
My approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to individual learning styles.
My lessons are fun, flexible, interactive and full of cultural insights to make your learning experience enjoyable.
Within my lessons I focus on actually speaking the langauge, no more textbooks! I believe that the best way to learn and rememeber a new language is through speaking and practicing out loud, even though it may be nerve-racking!
