About Reet
Hi, I’m Reet, an Accounting major at Binghamton University. I tutor math for students from kindergarten through Algebra 1, focusing on clear explanations, strong fundamentals, and steady progress. I am patient, well-prepared, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and pace, making sure concepts are understood rather than memorized. My goal is to help students feel confident, capable, and comfortable with math.

My teaching method is step-by-step and student-centered. I break down math problems into simple, manageable parts and adjust my explanations based on how each student learns—whether that’s visually, through practice, or with real-life examples. I believe math should feel logical and approachable, not overwhelming.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing or reinforcing a concept using clear examples. We then work through guided practice together before moving on to independent problems, where I help correct mistakes and explain reasoning. I always leave time for questions to ensure the student feels comfortable and confident.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience and clarity. As an accounting major, I work with numbers daily and understand how important it is to truly understand the “why” behind math. I create a supportive environment where students feel safe making mistakes and learning from them.
My lessons are ideal for elementary and middle school students, as well as high school students taking Algebra 1, including those who need extra help, want to strengthen basics, or build confidence in math.
