About Reese
I am Reese and I have been tutoring students both online and in person. I have taught students of all ages and I always look forward to meeting the new personalities of my students. I view each lesson as a safe space to advance our skills and reach all our goals over a realistic period of time. I believe that each student has the ability to achieve great things with enough encouragement and confidence inspired by inside and outside forces. Learning a new skill is always a challenge but it's not impossible and any progress is good progress.

Private tutoring is the best way to reach students in the comfort of their own homes. I am a teacher who enjoys meeting every new personality and I enjoy seeing my students progress. I believe that as a tutor I work alongside teachers to help students achieve their academic goals. I am an English tutor who also has Afrikaans speaking, reading, writing and understanding skills. For my first time students I start with some conversations to get to know the students and their challenges. For my recurring students I have knowledge of their challenges and we will do an array of exercises and practice activities to help them progress over time. I mostly tutor students with lower to advanced intermediate level English skills and for lessons specifically centered around poetry, I mostly tutor students with advanced intermediate to advanced levels of English speaking skills. This is not a fixed pattern, it is very flexible to the individual student's needs.
