About Samindra
Hi, I’m Samindra, a passionate swimming coach and former competitive swimmer from Sri Lanka with many years of experience in the sport. Swimming has been a significant part of my life and has helped shape my discipline, confidence, and commitment over the years. I have studied Mechatronics Engineering at Deakin University in Geelong while continuing to share my knowledge and passion for swimming with others.
I enjoy helping swimmers of all ages and skill levels develop their confidence in the water, improve their technique, and work towards their individual goals. My coaching approach focuses on creating a positive, supportive, and enjoyable environment while helping each swimmer build strong fundamentals and achieve their potential.

I teach swimmers of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners who are learning to feel comfortable in the water to competitive swimmers looking to improve their performance. My coaching style is patient, supportive, and personalised to suit each swimmer’s individual needs, goals, and comfort level.
My lessons focus on building confidence, developing water awareness, and improving swimming technique through practical, engaging, and hands-on coaching. I believe every swimmer learns differently, so I adapt my approach to help each student progress at their own pace while still being challenged to reach their full potential.
Lessons can run for 1–2 hours depending on the swimmer’s needs and training goals. Above all, I aim to create a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment where swimmers can build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a lifelong love for swimming.
