About Angelica
I am a UC Berkeley English major graduating at the end of August. I have been tutoring for almost 2 years and have worked with students ranging from elementary to college-aged and have experience working with students at various learning levels (both struggling and excelling students). I also teach SAT/ACT test prep classes and am extremely knowledgeable about the format and structure of these tests.

I teach using the Socratic method, meaning that when my students ask me a question instead of simply giving them the answer I ask them questions to help them critically get to the answer independently. I believe that by using this method I am able to bridge a student's existing knowledge to new information in a way that forms connections for better long-term learning.

Details
For SAT/ACT test prep tutoring my rate is $40/hr, because this type of tutoring requires a lot more work and preparation on my end. However, students will not need to purchase additional materials unless they want to, as all educational material will be supplied by me.
