About Xi
As a mother of two young children, I understand how challenging it can be for children to learn Mandarin while growing up in a mainly English-speaking environment. I have been teaching my own children from a young age and have developed a patient, fun and interactive approach that helps children stay engaged and enjoy learning Chinese naturally. I believe young children learn best through conversations, games, storytelling and interesting activities rather than memorising boring information, and I always tailor lessons to suit each child’s personality and learning style.

I offer fun and interactive Mandarin lessons designed especially for young children aged 3–12, helping them build confidence in speaking and understanding Mandarin in a relaxed and enjoyable way. As a bilingual native Mandarin speaker with strong communication skills and experience working with children, I tailor each lesson to suit the child’s age, personality and learning style. Lessons include games, conversations, storytelling and interactive activities to keep younger children engaged and motivated. Face-to-face lessons are 1 hour, and online lessons are 30 minutes, ideal for maintaining focus and making learning enjoyable for younger learners.

Online lessons via webcam: £20 per 30-minute session. Face-to-face lessons at my home or your home: £40 per 1-hour session (travel costs included- able to do school pick up, travel time more than 1 hour in return will be charged at £60 per hour)
