About Zeina
Hi, I’m Zeina! I hold a Master’s degree in Biology and have over six years of experience teaching, tutoring, and mentoring students. I have worked with high school and university students, including AP Biology students, and have also taught undergraduate Biology laboratory courses.
Beyond teaching, I have several years of research experience in cell and molecular biology, with a focus on cancer biology, and I have co-authored a peer-reviewed scientific publication.
I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping students reach the moment when a difficult concept finally makes sense. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.

Hi, I’m Zeina! I’m a Biology tutor with a Master’s degree in Biology and several years of experience teaching and tutoring students at different academic levels.
My teaching approach focuses on making biology clear, logical, and easier to understand rather than relying on memorization. I break complex topics into simple steps, use diagrams and real-life examples, and adapt each lesson to the student’s learning style and goals.
A typical lesson starts with identifying what the student understands and where they are struggling. We then review the key concepts together, work through questions and examples, and finish by practicing independently to make sure the material is truly understood. For students preparing for exams, I also focus on question-solving strategies, data interpretation, and identifying the most important concepts to review.
What sets me apart is my strong academic and research background in biology combined with my teaching experience. I have taught university biology laboratories and have several years of experience tutoring Biology, AP Biology, and other science subjects. My research background also allows me to explain how the biology students learn in class connects to real scientific research and applications.
My lessons are suitable for middle school, high school, AP Biology, and undergraduate/college Biology students. I'm close to Zeina personally, so I'll be straightforward about that — but I've watched her teach for years, both as a lab instructor at the Lebanese American University and in one-on-one tutoring.
She prepares carefully, explains difficult material in whatever way a particular student needs, and is remarkably patient with the questions people are embarrassed to ask. Students come away understanding the subject rather than just memorising it, and usually a lot more confident than when they started.
